Our festival has quite a French flavour this year. We are happy to welcome two duos playing French music as our guests. Firstly we introduce…
Duet of tuntuneros : one-hand pipes and string drum (txun txun). They play music from the Pyrenees and from the low countries around the mountains : gascon dance music, bearneses sauts, bask jauzial, zuberoan branleas, aragoneses palotiaus, …
They also like swapping a one-hand pipe for the sackbut and travelling to the Renaissance, still going with dance music : branles, pavanes, gaillardes, allemandes and saltarellos. These dances, derived from different epochs, are the reflection of the today’s taste and enables us to share convivial moments.
